Aha! Don't worry about getting to Fort Rankor, you will reach there via another route. From beacon's get a quest which will lead you via a mountain pass and a cave full of trolls, and will lead you to Kryta. Just a couple more missions (about 12!), and you will have reached Rankor by the proper route.
Good luck in your travels! msihkin |

Good good, then you're headed in the right direction. Look for more primary quests that will lead you to further missions. You will see the desert before you return to Rankor...

Storywise, all you need to do to progress is head north-westish from Lion's Arch, and you should reach the next mission area. I believe it's Divinity Coast, which is north of Beetletun.

Succes with the missions.
Aurora glade mission ( think 3 missions after divinity ) is the first mission with timing, so take care that you have a good team. I failed 3 times to complete and after that I leaded my new team and completed the mission inclusive bonus. Just about timing and teamwork |

Yes, you get to all the places in the game by following the primary quests and doing the missions. Some missions seem impossibly hard at first, since as above, you need 1) good team working players and 2) at least a little knowledge of what to expect in the mission. Good luck. |

Indeed.
The teamwork defference per team. That was the reasen first the aurora glade mission failed 3 times :P I like it when I have the time and start doing missions with a team and that team seems to be very good and have good teamwork to stay doing missions with that team. On that way I did in a weekend 4 mission right after each other without failing one and with very good teamwork. Thats what guildwars ment for. |

You may have stood in Beacon's Perch for the first time and believed that all there is to the game is to get a "run" to Rankor and Droknar's, because that is ALL you hear in local chat. Ignore the local chat in Beacon's, it's worthless for you at the moment.
[SPOILER?? Not sure...] After you do all the Kryta missions, you'll head to the desert for a few more missions. When you get ascended, you'll end up in a place called Dragon's Lair; this mission will take you to Droknar's Forge. The beauty of this one is, if you try and then fail the bonus (you'll see what I mean), you still finish the mission. So give it a try! |

And if you want to do it fast, run from Temple of Ages to Fishermens Haven (very easy if you have mending and at least one running skill), look on the interactive map that guildwarsguru.com provides
I did this run with my E/Mo at level 15 or 16 (dont remember), quite easy, skipped all of Maguuma Jungle |

Marhan's and Granite are locations for 15K armor .... something that a beginning player is not too concerned with. The skill locations are: Grendich Courthouse, Ice Tooth Cave, Maguuma Stade, Fisherman's Haven and Port Sledge. (think that's all)
